Risks are very important because they provide evidence that you can identify any and all possible risks and can identify how to prevent anyone from being involved and injured by any of the risks if something were to go wrong and could put someone in danger. If you don't identify any risks before you go to film you are putting yourself and everyone included in danger, that is why you should always identify any and all risks no matter how small.
